My current research focuses on the ecology of mosquito vectors of viral diseases of humans. There are three interrelated areas that I am interested in:
Larval Competition and Oviposition.
My previous work has included examination of the intersection of mosquito ecology and viral transmission, with both dengue and chikungunya viruses. I have collaborators at the University of Florida (Drs. L. Philip Lounibos and Stephanie Richards).

Dr. Ali Zarrabi, Lab Director
Dr. Valerie O'Brien, post-doctoral associate (arrives 1/1/2010)
Lisa Coburn, Director of Mosquito Surveillance Program and Manager of the National Tick Research and Education Resource
